Newsletter Update – March `07
Hi everyone and welcome to March!!
The lads have been just as busy as always with their Hazard and Vertigo shows. After more gearbox problems dogged their first week of February, they are now up and running yet again.
Congratulations to Stu on his promotion!Stu works for Tesco in Newton Aycliffe during the day (a proper job) and has just been promoted to Manager of the new electrical department there,so well done mate.
The lads have had some great gigs lately and have enjoyed seeing a few old faces and getting some crack with them.Thomas Wilson was a great night last week and another successful trip to Barnsley was had earlier in the month.
The lads would like to thank their old friend (old being the operative word here) Colin Thomson for his yet again brilliant review of the `06 Xmas party.Colin has been a musician and music fan for many years now and knows a thing or two about the business,so his reviews are always valued and appreciated by the band.See the reviews page for the last couple of Xmas show reviews.
Also on the `thanx` list this month is our Stateside bud,JJ Brooke. He sent us a copy of his new CD New Beginnings which is excellent. It was recorded and produced in Chicago with a lot of the music being arranged and played ,including backing vocals,by our very own Griff The Riff.If anyone is interested in listening to or buying J`s cd,you can get to his site via the links page –check it out-it`s well worth it!!
The lads are trying to find a company who have a machine capable of scanning A2 size posters and compressing the size to be uploaded on to the site as they have some great old posters from the 70`s onwards of bands they have been in.If anyone knows of anywhere that can do this please let us know. Also there will be some new photos in the gallery soon and some new demos on the way (at last).
Thanks for reading-bye for now!!!
